Your firm's own labels for clients, requests, forms and documents, and everything carrying one.
Tags are your firm's own labels. One tag can go on clients, requests, forms and documents alike, so a word like "Q4 annual review" or "Referred by Jones CPA" gathers everything it applies to in one place.
A tag is only a label. It doesn't change who a request belongs to or which client group someone is in, and taking a tag off something changes nothing else about it.
Tags sit under the name at the top of a client, a request, a form or a document.
To take a tag off, click the cross beside it. Changes save straight away.
Anyone at your firm can tag clients and requests. Tagging a form or a document takes the same permission as changing it.
If the tag you want doesn't exist yet and you can manage tags, type its name and choose Create from the list. Otherwise, ask an admin to add it.
Click any tag to open its page. It lists the clients, requests, forms and documents that carry it, a few of each. Click See all beside a section to open that list narrowed to the tag.
You can also narrow the Clients, Requests and Forms lists to one tag under Filters, and the documents library with Any tag beside the search. Typing a tag's name into search finds it too.
Go to Settings → Tags to see every tag and what carries it.
Two tags can't share a name, however they're capitalized.
Owners and admins can add, rename, merge and delete tags. To let someone else do it, give them a role of your own that includes Create, rename and delete tags. See Inviting your team.
