Closing your workspace

Taking an archive first, and what closing deletes and keeps.

Closing a workspace deletes everything your clients sent and everything you kept about them. It cannot be undone, so take an archive first.

Before you close

Only the owner can close a workspace. If your retention setting keeps records and the workspace holds any requests, submissions or documents you gave clients, you must take an archive before you can close. Open Settings → General and press Prepare an export under Export everything, then download it. It can be downloaded for seven days.

Close the workspace

On Settings → General, press Delete workspace. Confirm that you have downloaded the archive and will keep the records yourselves, then type the workspace's name to confirm.

What is deleted

On the day you close:

Within 90 days, the rest goes: your settings, logo, the example pictures beside your document questions, connections, webhooks and remaining records.

What is kept

See Retention for how long Cartenda keeps what clients send while your workspace is open.
